30 Years of Metallica

Metallica may be 30, but at 31,Thrasher's got one on 'em. Four shows at the Fillmore, and at 50-years-old, they rocked for two and a half hours. It was insane: "Unforgiven," "Battery," "Creeping Death," all the hammers. Special guests included Marianne Faithfull, Lou Reed, and Kid Rock (sucks). The shit hit the fan at the end when they brought out Mercyful Fate. Eighteen years since they've been on stage together. They did a melody of "Gypsy", "Into the Coven" and  "Curse of the Pharaohs," all with Metallica on stage. Five Flying Vs on stage add up to one awesome night. Here's to 30 more. The best way for Thrasher to end one epic year.
