Cons announced the fifth installment of CONSProject. Registration is now open for "Making & Designing Skate Decks" in New York, Boston, LA, and Toronto.

• As Converse CONS announces the fifth installment of CONSProject, a series of free community projects designed to inspire the next generation of creative spirits through interactive skate, art and music seminars, registration is now open for “Making & DesigningSkate Decks” in key cities throughout North America including New York, Boston, Los Angeles, and Toronto today at http://consproject.com.
• Encouraging aspiring builders, designers, and skaters between the ages of 13-24 to register today, “Making & Designing Skate Decks” will teach participants how to build a skateboard – from start to finish. From sizing and shaping raw wood, to assembling and designinghandmade decks, workshops will be led by renowned skateboard creator and founder of non-profit skateboard manufacturing organization, CreateASkate, Paul Schmitt and Brooklyn-based graphic designer, Grotesk in New York; key members of CreateASkate and California-based artist and owner of $lave Skateboards, Ben Horton in Los Angeles; Paul Schmitt, and visual artist, Todd Francis in Boston; and key members of CreateASkate and Canadian artist and printmaker, Jacob Jurkiewicz in Toronto. Renowned professional skaters – as well as CONS Skate Team members and friends of CONS alike – such as Aaron Herrington,  Eli Reed, Quim Cardona, and Dolan Stearns, will also be on-hand to work with builders and artists in each city.
• The anticipated follow-up to the past four workshops - “Building Skate Structures” in August;  “Filming Skate Videos,” in October, and “Creative Recycling” in November, and “Zine Making & Printing" in February - "Making & Designing Skate Decks" is the fifth of five workshops in this CONS Project series.
