Ask The Phelper: Natural Terrain
In 1990 Stacey Gibo, Noah Peacock, Jim “Red Dog” Muir and I went to Visalia to audition this kid named Karma Tsocheff. Needless to say, he made the team; but he also took us to The Flumes—an old logging run that went from a metal halfpipe to a mega-ditch. The natural halfpipe between the two was kinda rough, but no doubt the best not-built-for-skating terrain I ever rode. Good luck finding this one. Oh yeah—we were trippin’ on acid. —Phelps
