Post by: John Davis on January 09, 2012, 08:09:38 AM
My last post got nuked when I tried to edit it... but I just wanted to give a quick heads-up about the new EPIC DITCH record, the 36-Hour EP.  The 5-song, 45 rpm 7" + download is available here http://www.velocityofsound.com/epic-ditch-36-hour-ep (http://www.velocityofsound.com/epic-ditch-36-hour-ep)  Ships on or before January 31.  Full streaming audio of all 5 tracks here http://epicditch.bandcamp.com/ (http://epicditch.bandcamp.com/)  For those of you in the Nashville area, we've got a couple of gigs coming up http://www.facebook.com/events/230952426979083/ (http://www.facebook.com/events/230952426979083/)  http://www.facebook.com/events/274600875932270/ (http://www.facebook.com/events/274600875932270/)  P.S. Apologies to Krusher for recent awkward times with the locals...   ??? would've been stoked to see you at our local park!

Much Respect,
J.

Rad EP John!

Would have been rad to skate with you. I think they were just over protective parents wondering why this old guy was there without his kids. They really need to fix that crack in the big bowl that could kill someone. I spent most of my time trying to dodge the razors and trying to get enough speed to hit that clam shell (I love that park it is so imperfect).

Struck out again tonight and came home with enough time to catch up on some things I've been missing out on, like the thread.

$6 well spent

I'm guessing you didn't post this 'cause you don't like watching video of yourself, everyone I know is like that me included

Unexploded Ordnance (http://vimeo.com/35751391)

Is this in Knoxville?

Ha ha---yeah man, I didn't want to go too over the top with the self-aggrandizement.  :D  I figured people would come up on it if they cared to investigate.  That's actually the slab at the Sixth Ave park here in Nashville.  I guess they hooked all that up while they were building out the new park indoors several years ago and just left it there.

The Metro Parks Dept. actually just did a bunch of work out at CWC (since you were here last); they patched up most of the missing concrete, including those craters in the flat bottom of the combi. So next time you come through, it'll be a much smoother ride!

Man, I'm stoked to hear you've been enjoying the record.  Thanks for picking it up!

The EP rages! But the million dollar question is... do you know Michael Poindexter aka Daddy-Yo?

No.  And I plan on keeping it that way.

Hey dudes, for what it's worth we actually recorded 7 songs in 36 hours for the 36-Hour EP, but only 5 of 'em would fit on the 45.   :o  A free download of one of the B-sides ("Negative Increase") is available over here: http://soundcloud.com/epic-ditch/negative-increase (http://soundcloud.com/epic-ditch/negative-increase)  for anybody that wants to go get it.  Enjoy!
