Title: Way to San Francisco
Post by: sherxami on February 23, 2012, 08:58:18 PM
Hey, whats up?
I know that some of you live at San Francisco. I am going there for the first time in my life. I will be at the West coast   on april.
Is there any web-site of San Francisco skateboard scene, like nyskateboarding.com where I can see any events at the city and read about main spots? I know that the city is all the spot! I am so excited. Ready to bomb hills!
What are the best skateparks?(I want to skate everything).
Are there any bars where skaters hang out, like Max Fisch in NYC?
What could you recomend me about the city as skater to skater?
Thanks

There are some really great nightclubs on 17th and Market.

If you like perfect marble benches check out the waller street spot in golden gate park.  If you're down for a trek, you can skate from there all the way to ocean beach (3.5miles, downhill mostly).  Golden gate park and ocean beach may sound touristy but its fun and beautiful, weather is amazing right now.

you can also go here if you want a skate park http://www.thrashermagazine.com/reviews/oakland-skatepark/ (http://www.thrashermagazine.com/reviews/oakland-skatepark/) its in oakland but if you have a car its not that far and if you dont then i guess you could get a taxi from the airport. if your from NY though dont expect to get a taxi at every corner. its impossible t skate there though because you have to cross the bay bridge which is very long and pedestrians bikers runners skater etc. arent allowed on it anyway

thank you. It means probably I will not go there. I thought that some parks might be at the city and check them for a while, to feel the difference between east coast and west coast.
I will be skating streets a lot. Yes, I am from NY and hot used to skate streets a lot. Its so bad that you cant skate bridge, like you can skate Williamsburg and Manhattan in NYC.
What are the main skatespots?
Is there any skatebar like Max Fisch in NYC?

skate the fuckin' piers and embarcadero dude. There's also  the big plaza by Macy's and Sacks 5th Ave but there's usually security guards and shit. There's one parking garage off Market with a sick couple of sublevels too
