ditches? abandoned buildings? hard for anyone living outside of your area to tell you where to build.

I went to CSULA in the early 90's best time to be a skateboard in that area ever. almost every spot that was in a video was a 20 minute drive away, not to mention the campus itself and Lance's backyard ramp. The only place that was legal to skate in the county of LA was south Pasadena, i've got a cool cop story about that but thats another thing.

If you go west there are a bunch of diy spots in Chavez ravine and the LA river thing along the 5.

What is that weird concrete thing in the field at the end of the 710? Is the Sears still closed down? that was the raddest and only gap I've ever ollied (i'm a shitty skateboarder, always have been.)

What up, Krusher?  Hey man, speaking of DIY, I took your advice from that one How To'sdays clip and started using those Steel Stiks to fix spots in a hurry---those things can take a beating.  Thanks again, homey!

You’re welcome John. I can’t take full credit though, I learned that trick from the WSVT guys.

Andrew, I think there are some abandoned slabs along the Alhambra wash.

And to everyone looking for DIY spots in your area, just search your zip code in Google maps, put it on satellite mode and you will be able to find every ditch, slab and pool in your neighborhood. You can even change the angle of the picture to find full pipes on mountain sides.

I’ve used it to find many “secrete” DIY spots just by having an idea about what part of town they might be in.
