Title: drugs
Post by: dirtmongrel on December 09, 2007, 03:10:26 PM
so i had a bad trip on this crazy drug called 5-meo-amt back in may and i gave up all drugs for a few months. last night me and my buddy smoked a little weed, and it was good. i don't think i'll ever use drugs as much as i did before, but as the ancient greeks say, "everything in moderation."

anyone else like drugs? any good stories?

drugs are all right. this one time i smoked like 4 grams of medfords finest methamphetamines and i was up for a week straight organizing every piece of clothing in my house arranging them by color. and looking through old issues of time magazine cutting out words that started with the letter "D"

did you have to go out to the desert for the peyote?

Title: Re: drugs
Post by: bailgun on December 11, 2007, 02:08:50 PM
i personally didn't. a friend got it from a cousin who lives on a rez. but yeah, i think it only grows in the desert.

protip- you WILL puke. a lot. but once the vomiting is over, it's nothing short of amazing.

Consumed an 8th of shrooms and smoked a blunt on my way to the Skate Book release party at Hensley's Flying Elephant Pub.  Jason Adams' art (on display) never looked better!  Unfortunately I couldn't resist the free Budweiser and learned that alchohol kills your trip.  Kids pay attention!

I kickflipped 4 stairs on Special K, and my friend said it was the craziest thing he's ever seen, I guess I was looking up, and standing super straight the whole time, like I was sleep skating. And watching trees melt on acid is fun, too.

But I haven't touched any drugs since I was like 20 or so.

The withdrawl is the worst part though.

But by the time your in withdrawl that's the time you take more.

I remember smoking dank headies before class.... :o
weirdest and trippiest history class ever.
I kept seeing things, my body kept twitching, everything was super slow, ("why is everyone laughing?" I said inside my head.),
I kept thinking my professor said "dank" and "toke" between sentences. And several out of body experiences.
Cool but weird experience.

Since I quit drinking, drugs are all I have left.  Mostly pot but I will, on occasion, partake in various psychotropic substances.  I recommend doing a couple tabs of E with some people you love.  No too often, though, there are physical and psychological consequences to that shit.

once i smoked this shit. i was really drunk and my buddy said hey hit this, its kind of like weed......(bad idea). i was like yeah fuck it, i have no idea what this is. as soon as i exhaled i blacked out for 2 hours straight and woke up on the floor laughing histerically. the whole room was all gray and fuzzy and moving wierd and my friend was lighting his g/f on fire while she was sleeping.

swear. true story. i still have no idea what that was.

I guess i am straight edge :)
After 2 years of heavy drinking i drink occasionally 1-2 times a month and only if the vibes seem like it.
Drugs, well i have tried weed and acid once, it was fun but not too stoked on it.

I got a friend that has tried almost every drug and he told me about them. Before trying something ask someones advice. Preferably someone's advice who was using drugs and is sober now.

Only hit headies once in a while...

Used to drink a lot of booze. Too many embarrasing/blurry memories so now I control it to prevent Mr. DoucheWino showing up again.

Afterwards I met my saviour, the one being that made me understand we're all children of the same god...... POT

Pot is the answer dude. I smoke almost daily, preferably with a nice cold beer on the other hand.

On another note, psychedelics are a nice life-enhancement. Though I haven't tried shrooms yet, I've tried acid, and I recommend it...
you may expect flashbacks, and people may say flashbacks is the crap residue left from eating lsd, I say it's your brain expanding permanently and infintely.

Beer, wine, pot, acid and shrooms= good clean fun. The rest is at your peril.

Title: Re: drugs
Post by: ttching on August 05, 2010, 02:46:02 PM
Mushrooms become more toxic to your body each time you eat them.  Our friend once ate a quarter that was mostly stems.  He left us and a demon possessed his body.  We had to lure his half naked (the lower half) ass outside into the cold, January, Montana night to keep him from destroying my friends' apartment.  He stood at the door, looking in the window at me, with his pupils so big his eyes were black, asking me to let him in in this creepy low voice.  It was fucked.

One of my friends in high school started taking lots of acid towards the end of our time there.  I'm talking about dropping fourteen hits on Friday night.  Last time I saw him, he was all weirded out, seeing ghosts and shit that wasn't there.  Not exactly what I'd call an infinite expansion of the mind.

Title: Re: drugs
Post by: Queen Buzzo on August 05, 2010, 02:57:43 PM
Yeah... 14 tabs on a friday night sounds like an acid-equivalent of a binge. I guess it's better to clarify I eat acid around once every couple months, and it's never more than 1 tab. 1 is enough to trip balls IMO. If you need more, you must be getting the wrong shit or you're really on a quest to fuck yourself up.

In the end, everything in excess is a fail. But hey, there's people that wanna act stupid everywhere.

I guess the moral of the story is: know yourself and know your drugs.

Title: Re: drugs
Post by: Bro on August 06, 2010, 10:38:59 AM
Acid is a no go.
I want universal knowledge like the next genius.
But I don't want fall too deep into the rabbit hole.
That when you permanently lose a grasp of reality, thinking your still high. (assumption)
I had a drug indued dream about that. Too scary.

Let the record reflect that I believe the defendant has said, "No (http://www.google.pt/imghp?hl=de&q=smotig)." The activist community Chomsky entered during this period was vast and loosely knit. Many have attempted to draw a portrait of this milieu - David Dellinger and Howard Zinn have each written about it. Here, however, with the aim of exemplifying what Chomsky considers to be useful activist work, I've chosen to focus on one important individual: Peggy Duff. Chomsky's own lists of key activists generally contain names that are rarely mentioned beyond certain small circles. Duff was for decades a serious activist who, despite her enormous output, has remained relatively obsure in the United States.

One of the most influential figures in the British peace movement from the 1940s onward, and general secretary of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) from 1958 to 1967, Duff was deeply involved in the Israel-Palestine issue; moreover, according to Chomsky, she kept "the international opposition against the Vietnam War on some kind of serious and useful track, and she helped organize some of the most important aspects of it" (13 Feb. 1996). She was also the general secretary of the International Confederation for Disarmament and Peace ( ICDP a grouping of independent movements in Europe, North America, Asia, and Australasia); one of the leading figures in CND, and antinucl (http://www.whitehouse.gov/photos-and-video/video/2011/10/20/first-ladys-first-tweet)ear work generally; the editor of two journals, Vietnam International and Peace Press; a contributor to the Peace Press and the Tribune; editor of War or Peace in the Middle East? (to which Chomsky cont (http://www.whitehouse.gov/photos-and-video/video/2012/05/02/my-first-job-jimmy-fallon)ributed); author of Left, Lef (http://www.whitehouse.gov/photos-and-video/video/2012/04/11/white-house-white-board-buffett-rule)t, Left in short, Duff was, in Chomsky's assessment, "one of the people who really changed modern history."

She is a woman, an activist, a serious intellectual, a knowledgeable and informed writer and therefore unknown outside the universe of others who are actually engaged in the problems of the world. She has disappeared from history. She's not a "public intellectual"; she was far too important in modern history for that. She spent no time posturing before other intellectuals or inhabiting the various or by a subsequent censors of the literary intellectual culture. She belongs to the same category as the sncc [Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee] workers who carried out the civil rights movement in the U.S., or the dedicated Christian activists who we (http://cognet.mit.edu/library/books/chomsky/celebration/essays/Steuter.html)re at the core of the solidarity movements of the '80s, or the unknown people who created the labor movements, or the other people who have mattered in history, and are therefore unknown and forgotten (if ever known in respectable i.e., intellectually and morally corrupt circles). [Duff is] typical of people who make a difference in history. She's also typical of the people in my actual milieu, since childhood, except for her unusual international prominence. (31 Mar (http://www.google.pt/webhp?hl=pt-PT&q=minshortenmedia+quality). 1995)
True intellectuals, like Peggy Duff, are unattractive to the ruling elite because they reveal things that those in power would prefer to conceal. Unlike (say) Irving Howe, Duff was not relied upon by the popular media for commentary on current events; she is not mentioned in mainstream history books; and her work has been played down or ignored. The mainstream historical record of the late 1960s, like that of virtually any period, contains very few references to really important reactant work. The prevalence of this kind of willful ignorance is another leitmotif for Chomsky.
If it weren't for Howard Zin (http://www.google.com.hk/imghp?hl=zh-tw&q=daipy+press+briefing+april+3+2013)n and a few others, few apart from actual participants would even know about the sncc, the leading element in the civil rights movement. Similarly, the truth about the Black Panthers is not, and never will be, made known, I suppose. Resist was supporting elements of the Pant (http://www.google.com.hk/imghp?hl=zh-tw&q=my+sister+staring+the+susej+site:thrashermagazine.com)ers from very early on, discriminating quite carefully between the serious organizers like Fred Hampton and the criminal elements and hustlers. (31 Mar. 1995)
Of course, resistance has a price as Mailer, Spock, and Coffin, among so many others, learned during this era and people such as Black Panther Fred Hampton ended up by paying with their lives. Chomsky writes: "I was one of the few white faces at Fred Hampton's funeral in Chicago in 1969, after he was murdered by the Chicago police and fbi" (31 Mar. 199 (http://www.google.com.co/webhp?hl=de&q=site:http://cognet.mit.edu/library/books/chomsky boston)5). That even a supreme sacrifice such as this can go virtually unnoticed beyond a limited community is appalling to Chomsky. He points out that "only actual participants. Would know or understand any of this, and they don't write their reminiscences. Without serious oral history, the truth will never be known" (31 Mar. 1995).
One of the existing organs (http://cognet.mit.edu/library/books/chomsky/chomsky/4/10.html) for accurate recollections of history is the activist press. I mentioned earlier that Chomsky's political books are available through a number of presses, including Panth (http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/?pid=103203)eon, Black Rose, Common Courage, South End, Columbia, and Verso, and that his articles have been published in doze (http://cognet.mit.edu/library/books/chomsky/chomsky/2/13.html)ns of different journals, notably Z Magazine. South End Press and Z Magazine merit special attention here in the context of a discussion of activist groups since they are collective enterprises that concentrate upon activist works. South End Press has published more books by Chomsky than any other publisher, and Z Magazine has published more of his political articles than all other outlets combined. This indicates Chomsky (http://cognet.mit.edu/library/books/chomsky/chomsky/4/16.html)'s determination to participate in collectives, here initiated by his former stude (http://goo.gl/XhQ54)nts at MIT.

one time my dad ate a cookie marked " do not eat " that my stoner stepsister left in the fridge. He thought he was having a stroke, twitching and tripping out trying to go to sleep. My stepmom started to drive him to the ER, and they were talking and figured out he accidentally ate a weed cookie.  :D

I tried drugs once. My friend came over and I asked me if I wanted to try pot. I thought about it hard and came to the only logical conclusion: #yolo. So I was like Yeah and he was like yeah and I was like yeah and he was like yeah. So then we went to the buzniss and I smoked about 4 weeds! my friend told me I had way too much and he was right. I started having what he described as a "Bad trip" everything was spinning I pooped ma self and my mom told me I was a pussy. I was like naw mom I'm on the weed this isn't the real me but she just laughed at me  :-[ eventually my friend left and I had the gnarliest dreams that night. My friend told me that it wasn't regular weed but a potent variety known as "Bomb ass dank ass" but still never again m8. Not even once

President Obama Talks With Advisors in the Oval Office 010914.

It's anyone who woke up on the morning of January 1st with the peace of mind, security, and quiet dignity that comes with taking your health care into your own hands.

We've been hearing from a lot of you. Jason Furman is the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. Prior to this role, he served as Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and the Principal Deputy Director of the National Economic Council. From 2007 to 2008 Jason Furman was a Senior Fellow in Economic Studies and Director of the Hamilton Project at the Brookings Institute.
