Title: Board Companies with Rad Graphics
Post by: SouthPlatteDemon on March 16, 2010, 09:36:09 AM
Link up some board companies that offer rad graffix.

Creature and Funhouse Skateboards are two I know of.  1031 is a little cheesey for me.

Rad for me = evil stuff, skulls, etc.

Thanks!!

I'm a fan of evan hecox. everything he does for chocolate is killer. even team series decks, which most companies manage to release as boring and uninspired turds.

Are the Warhol decks a lot more $$ cause of the collaboration?

Yeah, super feelin' Roger's graphics.  Bacon has funny shit and a cool style to their art. Naysayer, for sure!

it's been awhile since I bought a board because of their "sick graphic", though.

Prepare for the total domination of Toy Machine, again!  Obviously, not all of their graphics are inspiring, but that 'Leo Romero's Team Managers' deck is hilarious, as was the Johnny Layton half man/half toy machine deck.

I make boards out of a really small town right by San Francisco. Although I rely on the help of a few friends for the modest project, it's mostly a one man operation when it comes to the graphics. Drawings one of the few things Ive been doing longer than skating. I don't know if they constitute as 'rad'-- but for what it's worth, here they are:

My personal favorites are the old Santa Cruz and H - Street graphics & of course: anything by Wes Humpston. I don't know how i feel about most skateboard graphics out today or video song choices for that matter. It seems the smaller companies, not the mainstream ones, have the most clever stuff coming out now.

@Angus Scrimm, those are pretty damn awesome. Anyway, I like the old Powell Peralta. Can't go wrong with old skool man.

Thank You Jacob T, much appreciated and yes: Powell/Peralta's old boards ARE incredible. It's hard to describe how perfect VCJ's work was back then and it is still timeless, the epitome of a skateboard graphic.
