Title: gonz sculpture almost done
Post by: Ehren on September 28, 2010, 03:29:01 PM
Nearly done. And my life is nearly over too. O man this one almost broke me. I was up until 6am putting those skulls on his MC Hammer pants. LOL I'm so close to Comic Con and the work hours I'm putting in everyday are testing my manliness. I took a few liberties with the shirt. I found a really old pic of Mark wearing this 'brainwash victim' shirt and I couldn't pass it up. Haha So the next step is to resolve the transition he's skating. I need to figure out how tall that hump is and how much air he's actually grabbing on the boneless. what do you guys think? Measurements? Thanks for sticking with me on this. I'm glad we went with this photo but after Comic Con I'm going to kill you all for making me do these skulls. UUUUUUUGHH.

Wow, it's easy to forget how much detail goes into these things. Amazing work.

you forgot the head, dude.

kidding. that looks super good so far. even though you should've listened to me about the the kilty mc bagpipe.

no skulls on those pants. although i think they might have been corduroy, which would present it's own hassles, probably.

I had a pair of shorts like those pants. Life's A Beach made them. They were made with cheap fabric as I recall I ripped mine open right up the ass. Yeah, I was pretty cool, me and Danforth.  ;)

Is the head on the shirt a drawing of the head you're gonna make?

You are crazy talented, especially at that size... too good!

Fun Fact: Was reading an old TWS and saw a blurb about your Jamie Thomas sculpture in it. I was stoked.

For the most part it's ok. The portrait still bothers me and I recently found a bunch of older pics of his face that will help me get it right. Probably gonna re-do it. Anyway thanks for checking him out.
