Reppin' the Shell Toe. What happened with eS?

PRESS RELEASE

For immediate release Thursday, September 04, 2008

adidas Skateboarding welcomes…

Portland, OR – adidas Skateboarding is proud to announce it’s newest member to the team- Silas Baxter Neal. This Eugene, Oregon native needs no introduction to the skate world. His ability to shred anything in his path with smooth style and pure confidence made him an easy choice to add to the team.

Currently residing in Santa Rosa, California, Silas turned pro for Habitat last year and confirmed that he deserved the honor right out of the gates with insane footage for his Inhabitants video part. He is Transworld’s 2007 Rookie of the Year, and was the subject of an 18-page interview in Thrasher. As if those accolades aren’t impressive enough on their own, check his recent parts in Seasons 4 and the Toebock video. He has recently been featured on the covers of Slap, Transworld and Thrasher’s Photo Issue and received editorial coverage and interviews in Skateboarder and Thrasher’s Am Issue… all within the past year.

Check out www.adidasskateboarding.com to see brand new footage of Silas since lacing up with the 3-Stripes. This Rookie of the Year, is definitely worth keeping an eye on. Welcome to the team Silas!

adidas Skateboarding is dedicated to footwear and apparel designed by skateboarders for skateboarders. The team consists of Mark Gonzales, Dennis Busenitz, Tim O’Connor, Silas Baxter-Neal, Benny Fairfax, Nestor Judkins, Dave Bachinsky, Lem Villemin, and Vince del Valle.

Fuck yeah, proud to say one of the best skaters currently pushing lives a mere 30 minutes away.  Definitely inspiring shit, glad to see he's getting hooked up.

While we're talking Adidas I'm gonna go ahead and throw Nestor Judkins name out there.  Dude is holding it down these days.  Big ups to Silas too.  I see Silas pulling SOTY in the next 5 maybe.

yeah, man, silas is rad. good style and loads of talent - seems like a mellow guy too.

es has really changed though, damn. they used to be the elite team in skating. wonder if crankers will hang in there. I always thought it was lame that they booted creager. I like accels though - still one of my fave shoes for skating.
