Hey guys, just wanted to drop in and introduce our new company & product, GripTech Polymer Grip Tape. Feel free to ask any questions. If there is a resident moderator, I would be willing to send a sample for review & testing... I think this stuff is going to surprise people!

Hey pal, you're in Alchemy territory. I skated Alchemy on Dec. 1st in MN after a snowfall and it gripped so well. My suggestion is to get a sheet of Alchemy and wonder why you'd even consider riding something else.

Kidding, best of luck with your endeavors, but just remember with Alchemy out there it's going to be a big uphill battle.

sounds interesting..... if this shit's legit, you might have to go into hiding and live under an assumed identity once the shoe industry finds out, and puts a price on yr head....

but i'd be into reviewing it if you wanna send me a sheet.

Hey Bailgun, can you email me your info.  griptech@yahoo.com

Even Alchemy had an uphill battle... I really don't expect everyone to like my product, but I do think there will be a considerable amount that will.  Shoot, look at all the different brands of sand based grip tapes on the market..everyone has a preference.  Plus, I think ours is even cheaper than the Alchemy stuff.

hmmmm.  i like the idea of not killing my shoes in a few sessions.  and since i'm still waiting for my alchemy review piece (calling mike d!), maybe you could send me a sheet also. i'd like to see how it lasts in the cold weather.

I'm with Dan, Mike promised me a sheet twice and I've never received it.

Guys who are interested in testing and posting results need to email me who you are and what your address is.  If you like the product and want to submit an application to join our team for a amateur or pro sponsorship, I will need a video and bio.  My partners and I will review these and start making decisions.

Thanks

I am curious to see how it works without tearing your shoes up.  The whole reason griptape is there is because it is rougher than your shoes so you can stick, which obviously cause the tears.  If something is not as rough as your shoes you won't tear them but you also won't have any grip basically.

I don't get it?

I've tried grip tape like yours before and every time it would wear out 10 times faster then regular grip (you can get it at hardware stores).

So what makes yours different?

The only benefit I can see is if you prefer to ride your board barefooted...

I guess I'll have to wait for the reviews.

I asked if I could try it out, and aaron was cool enough to send me a sheet to try out for free. thanks man!
So i just got it yesterday, and i have not put it on a board yet, however, heres what i can tell you about it from just holding it and standing on it (again, not on a skateboard yet).
It is a little bit heavier then normal grip tape. You might not notice it if you wernt looking for it, but its deffinatly a bit thicker... for me, weight has never been an issue, but if your riding magnesium trucks, maybe its not for you.
it feels really strange. If your just touching it, it doesnt really seem like it will grip that well, but once you stand on it, it actually seems pretty grippy.
Now i just want to see if
1. it grips well and continues to grip well for a while
2. what kind of wear it does on your shoes
3. how it effects different tricks like any flip tricks

well, once my new board gets in, ill put this stuff on and see how it goes. im stoked to try it out

Yep, I know those will be needed, Bailgun.  I just really wanted to get some product out in people hands and see what the results were.  Maybe no one will think it is as good as I do...then I dont want to make a website at all.  But I think it will go fine and we should have all out stuff together in the next month or so.
