SHRED 'TIL I'M DEAD

« on: December 30, 2012, 07:11:43 AM »

So, I'm making a new playlist consisting strictly of good songs from skate videos to listen to on my way to sessions to get me pumped up. Help a brother out and tell me what your favorite songs from skate videos are...

Please include;
1. Track
2. Artist
2. Which video it was in and who's part it was for

***Keep in mind that I'm fairly open to any and all styles at this point in my life...I've always leaned heavily toward punk/hardcore, but I like a lot of different stuff and I'm trying to mix it up/expand my horizons. The stuff that I've been collecting lately includes the obligatory punk as well as some metal, psychedelic, new wave, British rock, classic American rock, Indy, Reggae, and even a little hip hop (REAL hip hop, no Lil' Wayne type bullshit!).

So, let's see what you've got folks...I may not dig all of your submissions, but I'm willing to check them out and appreciate your help. Shred.

Tune into my Monday night radio show 8pmCST www.fuzztalkradio.com I spin music for 3 hours. It's just me on my laptop so it's very little talk but I play a wide variety of new and old music.

If anyone's interested, This is the skate video playlist that I've assembled on my MP3 player so far...I'd like to continue to add to it still, so give me what you've got. This should give you a bit of an idea of the kind of stuff that I like too (as I said in the OP, I'm pretty open to different styles, so just because you don't see a certain style on my list it doesn't mean that I'm not willing to check something out.)

If you don't see a skater/video name next to a song, it's just a personal favorite of mine that I included because I like it.

     as far as Metallica, I have been listening to "Kill em all" a lot.  The really heavy riffs kind of make you think of streetskating or transition.  Agent Orange and the Drunk Injuns are excellent, as is Gang Green.  Those make me think of some of the best covers that Thrasher magazine ever designed, the 1980's.  Off! is a new band that is kind of hardcore like the circle jerks and black flag...
