Anyone remember Casino Skate Park or the Deal Lake Pool aka The Blue Pool from the 90's?

Asbury Park is on what some may call an economic and "cultural" upswing. Some consider the town a hotbed of creative talent. Musicians. artists, etc. We already know skateboarders converge with all forms of creativity.

Personally nothing seems more creative to me then taking the urban landscape and turning into a playground. There are a ton of music venues, art studios, and the like in town, but still no skatepark. The skateboard community is pushing for a public park, we want a place to skate, help foster the talent and as well as the towns skateboard heritage.

There are two links to articles about the recent destruction of a local DIY Park and the creation of another in it's wake. I'm simply asking you take the time to read about our fight and share the articles to help spread awareness.

Thank you in advance.
