have you been spying on me?  cause that's me.  i don't do it to look cool.  it's practical.  i like to pay homage to the brands with staying power who have pushed skateboarding along and i'm thankful to still be at it, with them still here.  i've been skating for 29 years.  did you ever stop to think that old guys have been rocking comfortable clothes to skate in, for decades, before fashion became an issue in skating?  old guys have old knees they like to protect so they can skate forever.  i pull my socks up to protect my shins a bit.  trucker hats breathe in the heat. i see a lot of those guys riding all sorts of boards so i'm not sure what creature has to do with it, other than maybe you think Parts is 20 yrs old, and not 40.  i would say old guys made that look.  there was never much skate fashion choices back then so you sported work wear that worked for you because some days your vision street wear shoes, skate rags pants, hip sac and jimmy z outfits clashed too much.  they put in the time and paved the way for young bucks, to complain.  fuck, who hasn't wanted to be like their idol, at some point.

i wore pink cut off shirts and high top airwalks in the '80's.  how gay is that.  it must suck to be you, if it bothers you.

I've been skating only 11 years but I remember that anyone skating who was out of highschool wore dickies a meshbacked hat and vans. It wasn't cool then, everyone was trying to look like Brandon beibel. Now that it is supposed to be cool, it doesn't mean it's played out, unless you're an over analytical dweeb. I visited my friend who lives in a small town, doesn't watch videos or read mags, has no outside skate influences, really, but he was skating in pretty much these clothes. Cuz he works at a mill and was building a house and those were his clothes, dang.

why the fuck do people even care about what you are wearing?  I started skating in mid 80's and couldn't understand why people spent a lot of money on vision street wear and looked like a clown, today I still don't understand why people look like they are wearing there lil sisters jeans?  The only article of clothing you need to worry about when skating is a good pair of shoes that are comfortable and allow you to feel ur board. I mean for fuck sake Christian Hosoi used to wear spandex shorts and he ripped.  Spend more time on having good times with ur friends and less time on being a fashion police officer.
