Death Squad!

I missed everything cool, over the years so I'm listening to a shit ton of awesome stuff for the first time.  (Or, at least, absorbing it for the first time.)  What bands are on your mind?

Slayer
Built To Spill
Big Black (Atomizer is my new favorite album cover of all time.)
Big Star
Bikini Kill (Apparently, I didn't grab anything that began with 'B' over the years...)
Liz Phair
NOmeansno

Anyone got favorite cuts by these guys?  Know of shit I'd like based on this?  What's new to you?

they only have two proper albums, unknown pleasures and closer, and they're both consistent - some people consider closer, the second one, to be their peak but either way...if you like one you'll like the other. there are lots of compilations too but you may as well get one of the LPs.

bands in my brain lately:

wolf parade
pink mountaintops
lee perry
oh no
battles
