Obviously the earlier stuff is better but I think that is partially due to the production work of Chaz Rameriz and the drumming of Derek O'Brien. None of the other drummers could pull it off with the exception of Chuck Biscuits, he played on White Light, White Heat, White Trash, the best SD album since Mommys Little Monster.  And we can't forget they took a number of years off, there was a time when I thought I never see another copy of Mommys Little Monster.

Plus Ness sobered up and is thirty years older. Say what you will but I think drugs and booze can add a lot to any band. Look at the Stones albums they put out when they were all doped up. All classics.

I got Mommy's Little Monster and Prison Bound. Is that basically all you need? Is their later stuff worth checking out?

you should get mainliner (super old stuff from when they were teens) and the s/t as well. mainliner is super raw and pretty sick.

mainliner can be hard to find...let me know if you need it.
