Yeah dude, that's old news.  The big banks are still good and the medium ones have benches at the bottom, but you can thread the needle and still skate them.  Don't worry about it, it's still super fun.

those aren't the most updated pics, as some of those obsticles aren't there anymore and others have replaced them.

not possible. right outside of the bottom of the photo is more of that dirt, making it impossible to get the speed necessary to get get up there, even if you ollie dirt gap right in front of it.

The first time I went to NYC in 2006 the upper banks were like that.   I was bummed but also in awe of how hard that shit looked to skate.    Mike V ollie the "newer" fence on the barrier and knocking off the ball in some old 411 was so ill.

What about using plywood to do it? It would be worth it.

i guess it depends on how your wallriding skills are. if you are comfortable with wallrides then it will be easy. it is a bank to wall, so it is much easier than a straight wall. i never did many wallrides before moving to nyc but landed one first try, if that says anything. doing a proper one is another story. the only issue is the little chunk of concrete right at the bottom that you have to dodge. steve rodriguez is the master of wallrides on that thing. he can do frontside wallrides head high at mach 10 every try on it.

What about using plywood to do it? It would be worth it.

potentially, but you would need at least 4 sheets or something and maybe some signs to maybe get enough speed. and you still wouldn't do anything that hasn't been done...so it is a lot of effort that may not be worth it. plus, i think cops may park their cars on that street on the other side of the wall since the police precinct is right there, but i am not 100% on that. good luck with that.

Damn thats a bummer about the cops being there. If i did get a chance to skate it though, I wouldnt be worried about doing something thats already been done. I just want to skate it.
