The only Electric Wizard was of feeble quality (sound, not musical composition), so I was kind of distracted. I guess their okay, I've heard them described as ripoffs of doom metal bands. Not sure how valid that statement is, since I'm not really an expert.

I've heard them described as one of the main doom\stoner metal band

Witchcult Today is the shit. Slow, heavy doom as it should be.
Just too said I missed the Ltd. Vinyl with poster and patch.
But Come my Fanatics... is still my favourite Wizars record.

Electric Wiz got me into the whole stoner doom tradition along with sleep and melvins...

im stoked on their sounds, especially dopethrone and Witchcraft Today.

However i have recently realized its not true doom. The doom sound was pionered by sabath but later expanded on by Candlemass and the like.
Doom to me is things like Ahab and Darkthrone, more of a slowed down Death/Black metal kinda thing

we should just abolish all genres though...

What ever Happend to the Richtor Scale of Doom in the zounds department!?!?!?!?! it was missing in the past to issues.
