It says they're shaving the old wheels down and pouring new urethane around the old core. Kinda like how they recycle car tires,I guess.

Momentum has those Soy wheels too.

If I could just drop them in a box at a shop,that would be cool.

Whatever happens to the little urethane flakes that get spread everywhere when you skate? do they just hang and flake around since they can't be decomposed?

I guess they're trying to reuse as much as possible,because you can't reuse 100 percent of the wheel again. It said you can't melt down Urethane. So recycling some of it,only the core, is better than recycling none of it and all the wheels going to the dump.

I do approve, this could make some sweet wheel imagine various colours shaved in together make some tye dye wheels and help the environment. No box in my local shop Sad

I'm pretty sure they're putting completely new Urethane on the wheels. Since you can't melt down and reuse old urethane.
