Back in the day a poser was someone who dressed like a skater, had a board that was always new with no scratches, hung out at skate spots , couldn't do a single trick and had no interest in progressing or learning anything.... Nowadays the line has blurred. You have skaters that act like a jock and treat skating as a sport you have to train for, Most people I see wearing Supra's dont even know who Terry Kennedy or Muska is, Nike isn't helping the whole situation either. There are different kinds of posers nowadays, not like the good ol' days.

Oh and if somene asks you who is  "your favorite skater?"
And that guy says "Tony Hawk"
Or "I like Ryan Sheckler",

ugh purist skaters are the biggest assholes.
Can you be a skater and NOT  be into skate vids
?

(people who the word steeze, steez  are lame. Over here(MD) the word is used as a sarcastic tone, for when you see a guy with hipster fresh clothing whilst on a skateboard)
