in the early morning hours of september 11, seattle skateboarding lost one of the great ones.

jamie was an incredible dude... ripped harder than most, always hyped the session, was a friend to many, and was a driving force helping make marginal way happen.

he was always down to help a friend or make a new one... i consider myself very lucky to have known him.

wherever you are jamie, i love you.

the funeral and wake were sunday.
i've never seen a standing room only funeral. people came from all over the country to say goodbye to jamie, and the wake at the 2bit that night was intense, to say the least. people killing the ramp with tears streaming down their cheeks is something i feel very privlidged to have been a part of, but something i hope to never see again.

marshall made this clip of jamie that was playing on a projector screen over the ramp all night.

in all the years i knew jamie, i saw him throw 540s on a few suspect janky ramp setups. i once asked him where he learned them, and he just mumbled something about skate camp, never mentioning the whole tony hawk/espn thing once. humble to the core.

now go hug your friends.
