I work on Sunday (seniority) so I don't have many chances to skate Slappy Sundays, and you don't call in sick on the weekends kids. It's rare for me to have a chance to go to one of these so I brought my camera.

I didn't edit this and I like that. I also like the sound of a slappy...

Sunday Slappy Sunday

Stoked on the fun and the destruction. Not stoked on the filming and song. The funny thing about McKinney's blunt is he had it on his first couple of tries but the other attempts were to make sure I filmed it correctly.

We got there at 4pm and the curbs had not been touched. 2 hours later they looked 10 years older. My favorite part was that the kids that own that spot started the day out ollieing on curbs and by the time we were done they were trying slappies.  Plus I filmed the curb less hit; the other curbs got killed.

skatings sure seemed to have regressed when it comes to accessibility, you all know how fun curbs are!! Not saying dudes who wanna break them selves on 20 sets isn't rad but we gotta' take back the streets and shred everything wax curbs rip up parking lots show the kids that you really can just jump out your house like Natas did and start shredding in the streets with out having to worry about the next, "cool spot" it's all out there and ripe for the taking. I wish the media would start showing that side of shredding again. Yeah skatings at a new level but it's also lost a lot of the fun and spontaneity that makes it whole, like damn look how bad ass late 80's early 90's vids are those cats are all terrain rippers an got crazy combos on curbs. I think that's what makes a skater a skater hittin everything an shralpin the yellow curbs at ol' 7 11.

Pretty stoked that Slappy Sunday has now gone international. Just goes to show that having fun is contagious.

No stress and nonpretentious, Slappy Sunday is where it's at...

KOGBLOGGER’S TAKE: SLAPPY SUNDAYS - CINCO DE HUNGOVER (2012)

FEATURING: Mikey Hottman, Bert Custodio, Jen Bricking, Keith Walker, Jason Bickford, Kyong Kim, Kien "The Donger" Lieu, Steve Shipler, Eric Ellington, & Joe Pease

Music: “You Just Got Slapped” - Marshall Eriksen (How I Met Your Mother)
“Get In It” - J DA G, FT - Oddie Banks, Mannix, Nani Lillo

I’ve shown this edit to just about anyone and they all say that this is the worst piece of video work they have ever seen, so I think it’s pretty good. -Kogblogger
