I've been riding Spitfires for years. I, however, prefer OJ Wheels. I had the Screwdriver 56mm conic shape a few years back and I loved them. I had a pair of Autobahn 56mm, which were alright for a cored wheel.

I still stick with Spits or OJ nowadays. All about personal preference.

Neither.

I've ridden a ton of wheels over the last two years trying to find something that feels good (like the old petroleum based wheels did):

101a Landshark - Nice wheel, felt like a cross between Ricta and Spitfire, a bit on the wide side. Only two shape choices.

99a Autobahn AB-S Series - Decent wheels, I got them too small, wish they were bigger or I'd have ridden them longer. They feel soft/sticky. Close in shape to STF V2s. Lots of sizes/shapes/durometers to choose from.
Autobahn Dual-Duros - 101 core 98a outside, didn't like them, too skinny and they felt soft on smooth concrete (great for rough terrain).

Ricta Chrome cores - Nice, hard, cool chirp sound =D no complaints. They're HARD. Wore down fast (got 50mm and did a lot of rough ditch skating with them). Re-learned bluntslides with them, no flatspots.
Ricta Speed Rings - Flatspotted one in under 15min at a park (Instead of pitching me I ended up stuck on a piece of mulch, stopping one wheel and sliding for 6-8’)

STFs (multiple times, old and new pours, new pours felt better but...) - I don't care for how they ride but they slide like crazy, especially with blunt slides - but they feel weird/plasticy. I rode them last night for the first time in weeks and instantly felt that weirdness, especially after riding my OJs the night before.

SPFs - love'em for pools, still have them setup.
Bones OG 100s - Hated them. They felt slow and sluggish, especially at parks.

Spitfire F1s - Mixed bag. Rode a set of Busenitz (Kill’em All) F1s and they were fine. Picked up a set of Cole AWOLS and they felt slow, yellowed faster than the busenitz. Both were hard, the Coles got a tiny flatspot in the first few sessions and somehow, the busenitz felt more like classics.

99a Spitfire Classics - riding these now, such good wheels; I love the way they feel and sound but their durability leaves a lot to be desired as they do wear down (no flatspots yet) fast.

OJs 101a - Nice feel to them, more like 'old school' wheels, hard to explain. Riding these now on my larger setup; tiny flatspot skating them in a park the first week, it's since worked it's way out.

I'm going to try a set of Spitfire F1s next as I want green wheels =D

OJs or Spits would be my recommendations.
