Who do you think is a skater sellout?

I think a lot people need recheck the definition of 'sellout'. Guys like Dyrdek are not a sellouts, just because Rob makes more money than the average pro does not make him a sellout, specially when he gives back to skateboarding with skateparks and shit. Same thing goes for Paul Rodriguez, the guy's getting paid no doubt about it. He's also building parks and putting out legit skateboarding vids with that pay. What Paper/Scissors said about Koston is completely right. A sellout in my mind would be someone taking a stand against violence and discrimination throughout their entire pro run, and then end up promoting them to build an image for themselves because they know everyone's tired of seeing them do boneless 360's on banks and there's no way they can stay in the spotlight by doing fucking handplants on flat. (Check out the front of Mike V's trans am when he's pulling up to the berrics for BATB). Mike used to be one of my favorites but now he's lame as fuck now and a sellout if you ask me.

why do you guys care about skaters switching companies to advance their career? are you a sell out if you leave a company that has treated you well for years for a new opportunity at a different company that will pay you more? i have done it, so i must be a sellout. however you look at it, skateboarding in a career to professional skateboarders so it is just the same.

and guess what? koston used to ride for royal. nothing changed with the say he skated once he started riding for indy. he skates the same. a company hardly defines the pro (sure there are exceptions), it is their skating. if you put louie barletta on black label, do you think he will be a different skater? i doubt it.
