there is nothing wrong with skateboarding.  if you have to ask this question then you shouldnt be skating.
all the moms that are worried that their kids are skating and hanging with the wrong crowd, that is bullshit.  As soon as the kids stop skating, that is when you should worry.  skating is the best thing your kid can be doing.  its when he/she quits skating and gets into drugs and alcohol and crap.  A wise man (JEFF PHILLIPS) once said, "'I skate for fun and that's it, and if I don't have fun you'll see me quit"

What the heck? Do you mean like breaking shit or just skating causing damage at spots? Cuz it's usually some weirdo getting pissed off about the ledge in front of their building getting scuffed. Alternatively, there are liability issues. What skateboarders are vandalizing beyond the necessary waxing, grinding or sliding? I don't know any...
