so they finally opened this park today. i have to say, this place is pretty amazing. there were tons of people there today but it isn't too bad to handle the large volume. there are so many fun things to skate there and you can get so much speed. i am so stoked to have a place like this in the city to skate. it puts all the other parks in the city to shame. plus, they didn't make anyone have to wear pads today...though i hear that might have been just for today. there were turnstiles to get in, which mostly kept the bikers out. one somehow got his bike in, but he got vibed out pretty quickly. there were a ton of roller bladers though. they even outnumber the skaters toward the end. i ran into a few myself. regardless, i had so much fun and can't wait to skate it again (i skated it for 8 hours straight today)...unfortunately it is raining for the next two days.
