Hey guys sorry if this is in the wrong section, I'm new here. I need some tips on skating like just some tips you would give to a beginner. Also would this be a good setup for a beginner?

it doesn't matter what your set up is when you're a beginner.

Dont forget bearings... and skip the riser pads.

Agreed. My first deck was some cheapo deck I bought at the local skate shop, I still have it to this day, but it just sits inside as a spare.

Just get what you think is cool. You'll learn what you like and what works for you.

That sounds pretty sick for $86.  You might need the risers for that truck height and wheel size, don't listen to anyone that writes off riser pads as a stigma, they can be good.  If you are getting that for $86, buy it!

i'd get the smallest board possible for learning your flip tricks on. my 2¢.

and that's exactly what your advice is worth.

Dude if you're a beginner, you just need to get a setup, any setup and start rippin' around. This will give you the experience necessary to know what you like/don't like and what to upgrade.
