Title: "You're just hyped on the hype" Post by: Alien Sweatshop on February 20, 2009, 04:20:03 PM Quote quite the opposite. i knew who he was before he was ever in a mag while you only like him because hes the new cool skater. same thing is true for everything you like. for example when stange world comes out youll be all over tancowny and keegans nuts. same thing applies for every new mainstream skater who puts out a part, you and every other 15 year old will jump on the bandwagon and worship them. you will start wearing the same style master bullshit and listening to the bands in the soundtracks. only you dont really like the bands, you will only like one or two songs then you will put them on your pathetic myspace page. i have said this before and will say this again, your opinions will change and your trends will fade. Me? hyped on the hype? If I was I'd be slobbering on Mo, Malto and Bledsoe's dicksfurthermore i love your arguments reguarding putting words in your mouth when thats what you base half of the shit you post on. for example when did i ever say i like spatulas, surfing, or sk8mafia? you are an ignorant little kid who has never even experienced skating out of the east coast and most likely stop before you ever will. how can you stereotype an area that you have never been to? also stop trying to claim east coast so hard. you live in a suburb of long island. gimme a break. ignored once again. Lets look at my favorite skaters lists over the time I've been on here: I'm feelin' these guys right now Dennis Busenitz Stefan Janoski Bobby Worrest Alex Olson Mike Carroll Brian Anderson Omar Salazar Chris Cole Eric Koston Nick Trappasso My favorites list is always changing though Pros: 1. Eric Koston 2. Stefan Janoski 3. Bobby Worrest Close behind: 1. Lucas Puig 2. Dennis Busenitz 3. Mike Carroll 4. Alex Olson 5. Silas Baxter Neal Ams: 1. Jake Johnson 2. Justin Brock 3. Zach Lyons 4. Andrew Allen For inspiration: 1. Gonz 2. Cards Pros: 1. Eric Koston 2. Stefan Janoski 3. Bobby Worrest Close behind: 1. Lucas Puig 2. Dennis Busenitz 3. Mike Carroll 4. Alex Olson 5. Silas Baxter Neal 6. Andrew Allen Ams: 1. Jake Johnson 2. Justin Brock 3. Zach Lyons 4. Vincent Alvarez For inspiration: 1. Gonz 2. Cards Freddy - Got restoked after rewatching some of his 90's parts, always was someone I respected Notice the trend? Worrest, Koston, Janoski and Busenitz have been in all of my favorite skater's lists since I've started posting. I'm not getting hyped on people over the fact that they're the cool skater to like nowadays, when someone keeps putting out footage and photos my "stoke level" goes up. And unfortunately, getting footage and photos correlates with being popular with teenagers.Frosty Janoski Worrest popps - always had been but he just started getting some photos recently thus getting me restoked on him Kalis - Got restoked on him after Mind Field Booze Title: Re: "You're just hyped on the hype" Post by: helma on June 01, 2009, 01:16:14 AM Etnies rider, Kill City am and full blooded Welsh youth Caradog Emanuel steps to the 'favourites' plate this week and delivers us his list of favourite things in the whole wide world.
