Title: Re: Favorite Comedians Post by: jacklin on August 13, 2009, 03:22:11 AM Adam Sandler as a comic has been a problem for me as his performances have centered on the more raunchy and dumb, mindless comic humor that Jim Carey used to perform. Personally, I've been more Self Cert Mortgage Blog (http://www.self-cert-mortgage-centre.co.uk/self-cert-mortgage-blog/)impressed by intelligent humor that depend more on realistic situations and grown-up situational comedy. However, Mr. Sandler hasn't been all bad for me. I enjoyed Mr. Sandler's work in:
THE WEDDING SINGER (1998). PUNCH-DRUNK LOVE (2002). ANGER MANAGEMENT (2003). 50 FIRST DATES (2004). REIGN OVER ME (2007). A drama, but it reveals more about Mr. Sandler's serious acting ability to good effect. I don't really think Mr. Sandler has really been consistently on the top of his game yet. Looking at his awards, he has Bariatric Surgery (http://www.ebariatricsurgery.com/)almost as many Razzie awards as popularity awards (among the masses and young set) but has yet to really be taken seriously by the more established major award societies and academies. That being said - I just watched Jay Leno do standup at the Mirage in Vegas on Saturday. He was hilarious, great act (and I think he was all jacked up on blow! Seriously, he was super amped - walking and talking a million miles a minute!!) Title: Re: Favorite Comedians Post by: lazlow on August 17, 2009, 10:24:13 PM Patton Oswalt
