Or is today's "indie" music decidedly boring?

Not to poo poo Radiohead too much but I always found them pretty boring and now there's a new generation of artists inspired by them to make this moody, atmospheric bullshit that doesn't go anywhere.

When I first read the title of this thread I thought it was going to be about troubled knees and bad ankles.  I agree though my friend listens to that music and it is incredibly boring.

I listen to some of these from time to time like post rock and post punk sometimes but i dont dig the people who are way into this stuff.
The "I am into art and i am better than you" type of people. Douchebags!

I am 22 years old and i prefer listening to hardcore punk and garage stuff from 70s and 80s (and the scene here where i leave is awesome.). No man you are not old you just have different taste.  Dont feel bad about not feeling the mainstream.

you are not. i'm also getting old, lol!  i find myself listening to most of the same stuff i liked as a teenager.

I'll tell you what doesn't help.  OFF! is the new Keith Morris band (Along with some other credible peeps whom I can't recall off the top of my head.) and it's fucking amazing.

It's like old people going to the casino to see the Fogerty-less CCR.  This shit shreds but it's the same guy I've been listening to for years.
