i have a huge problem with Grindline Skate Parks Inc.

is my home park....

the back bowl is perfect... pristine

go to the 3rd one...
they didnt put an inch of coping in the smaller flow bowl.

the park was designed rad... but they changed it when they were building it.

there is a hubba that runs straight into the ground... tons of waisted space...

grindline is garbage

If you don't want it I'll take it.

 if that park was in seattle, i'd be torn down in 2 years.
so bring the park somewhere where it'll be safe from seattle and you.

who complains about having an awesome skatepark?  i'll trade our metal one for yours any day.

well, when you raise several hundred thousand dollars for a skatepark,  and are promised one thing and something else is delivered, you have every right in the world to complain. grindline is pretty well-known for "design changes," anyway, so this isn't really surprising.

i wonder if now wold be a good time to ask if phelps is really a part-owner of grindline?

some skateparks are cool, some aren't, I just wish we had one near

man, i could understand being upset.... but its still a really nice skate park compared to a lot of others, and he's only complaining because the small bowl doesnt have coping.....

grindline isn't at fault. its the stupid construction company...

Grindline is awesome. Between them and Dreamland there is no one else out there even close to their level. Look at their websites for all the amazing parks that they've built. Proof's in the pudding boys.

well, i must say, the new Seaside Ore. park is a trip.  local guy designed it. 'prolly so local contractor did the pour.
fun freakin' park. tight pockets will own many a skater.

Industry Insider? Gotta question that with a statement like that. Grindline is a great firm to work with if you want to give them free reign on design and construction, deffinitely in the top 3 for building transition, but to say there are no other reputtable builders is foolish.

That park looks rad!  Consider yourself lucky to have something like that to ride.

For the record he is a chill dude. Have you ever tried riding a skateboard in the rain with trucks on backwards?? And furthermore, do you think he was serious?

before you folks tell this corpus local he's stupid, go ride the park.  you might start to agree with him.  you might also like it; who knows.  the fact is, he has a point.  the locals in corpus raised money for years for this park; the city didn't kick down at all- they got the junior league to help fundraise.  they went with grindline because of their reputation, and they liked the design GL gave them.  the park GL built looks little like the design.  it's well-constructed, like most of their work, but they do have a habit of changing the design while on-site, usually to try something new.  it's a commendable idea to try to be original, but a house builder shouldn't stray from the blueprints in the middle of a job- there's usually a reason the design is set up a certain way; flow, speed, etc.  i've been to many GL parks that looked like they were designed by committee, onsite, while 3 beers deep.

bottom line, the customer has every right to expect that they're getting exactly what they ordered.  and skateboarding is supposed to be a place without sacred cows- GL has built most of my favorite parks, but if i see bullshit on their part, it's my right and duty to call it out.  to toe the party line and not question them would be the pussy way out.

The park looks pretty descent to me. You should realize what you have and what others do not.
