I haven't been to one park that has anything resembling a pole jam, that thing looks fun.

At the risk of sounding like a dickhead...  You fuckers are all spoiled brats (I mean that in a good way).  When I started skating I would have given my left nut for a steel park 'cause there wasn't shit around my area.  Parks were non-existant.  My friend and I built a wooden half pipe with a masonite surface.  People thought we were nuts and we had zero support from our community.

Be thankful for what ya got.

P.S.  Yes, we had to skate uphill both ways to the halfpipe, through ten feet of snow...  AND WE LIKED IT!

yeah, but when communities spend hundreds of thousands of dollars of total garbage, it's a problem.
prefab skatepark companies need to be run right out of buisness and off the planet.

Too True.  The Town of Webster (about 1/2 hour north of me) built this "26,000 square foot, state of the art, skatepark"  for like over $200,000.


While it is better than nothing, they could have had something really fucking cool for that amount of money.

Can you say "Rip Off"?  I knew you could.

They didn't build that park for 200g.  They built it for 45,000 and pocketed the other 155.
