Well, I won't be breaking the record this year.  I caught a session with Eby last night at the barrier.  I think NYC is amazing for skating, and there are tons of skaters here, I just don't really have a skate squad I roll with.  Part of it was moving across the country and leaving my friends to come live here, but mostly its because I try to organize my sessions so that I get as much time with my daughter as possible.  That kind of cuts down on the evening sessions, and I wait till nap time on the weekends-whenever that ends up being-so its just easier to go session on my own most of the time.

I don't really mind.  Life taught me long ago that friends, girls, family can't/won't always be there for you, and that is part of what your skateboard is for.  I get way more shredding in when I'm skating alone anyway.
