not tryin to knock you, but seems like everyone is "starting a board company"...is it that you really want to do that, or you're sick of paying $50 for a board, or you think the industry sucks?  do you think they'll sell anywhere else besides where you're at?  like i said, not trying to break your balls, but I see this happening everywhere and don't really understand it....

Where i live, boards are already at $75, and griptape is $10.  We use the us dollar btw...

We can't have 'local' board companies, the prices involved with shipping and all that elevate the board cost way too high.

None of the american companies except Foundation comes to do demos, or whatever, and i for one would support a local brand over any amerifag company.  I would readily donate blood and sweat for a local team if given the chance... more board companies mean more chances for more people...  it's getting stale, everyone's going to element, yada yada...

I support this idea =)

I try to support a bunch of different companies, and I'm really poor so obviously it sucks when I can't afford a new board, but I'm not doing it to save money. I'll probably end up losing money. By all means, if you like a  bigger company and are into what they're doing, support them! But kids paying 40-50 bucks for a blank and handing over their money to someone who doesn't skate? Fuck that. Has the bitch in the mall shop ever heard of Hewitt or Cardiel? Know how to grip a board? No. Would I like new trucks with my deck? No. Fuck the sales pitch. If kids are low on cash and wanna buy my boards that's great, maybe I'll be able to get another 20, throw a best trick and give kids something to be happy about.

you really need to make the "A" in stella look like an "A" right now it looks too much like an "N."
and for your first few runs, just get a stack of the best blanks you can afford, and go with a simple stencil you can spray yourself for the graphics. your logo is simple enough to make a stencil out of, so your set. you could even do some splatters of a contrasting color before hitting it with the stencil to get this type of effect...

actually having good wood will go way farther in helping you establish a rep than screened or heat transferred graphics will.

make sure to buy a roll or two of griptape, too. nothings worse than the dude who sells boards cheap, but never has griptape. don't be that dude. make a smaller stencil of your logo to put on the tape, too.

go guerrilla against zumiez. lurk the mall near their shop and sell your boards. get stickers made and get creative with placement.

Thanks man, a few people I showed said something about the "a" looking like an "n" so I'm definitely changing it. Also gonna go the self-screening/splattering route, and make a couple stencils. Thanks for the advice guys, I really appreciate it.

didnt consolidated do a whole bunch of that?
so yeah, you know it works.
i'd love to start a shop here on guam... but that's not as easy for a 17 year old as you might think.
-one of my goals though... get a degree in art and one in business and do something like that
no core shops on guam

I was playing COD:WOW & I told this one guy to stop being a little bitch. Well, I wasn't aware that this douche lived down the street and he busted into my friend's place & pulled a gun on us. The fucker didn't realize that he was outnumbered so we took his gun & threw his ass out.
