throughout the week i thought i'd get the coping situation sorted out.  i ordered some steel pipe and Rob and i got the bowl section formed and prepped for the pour.  big thanks to bailgun and krusher for some of their tips on this.  salamander even offered some pool coping and i would have taken him up on his offer, if i lived in cali. anyways, onto some pics.

the total pour was about 17 feet long, 10 inches down to 5 at the apex of the bowl and it's about 2.5 inches thick.  i used high psi grade concrete and added some portland into the mix.  we mixed it in a tarp and dumped it into the pail for a good mixer stir and then right into the trough.

we also ghetto rigged up some bullnose for the extension at the last minute to use up leftover crete.

saturday we got started with a nice clean up of the junk laying around and then onto the the steel coping. it's about 17 feet total length and we scored 2 10 footers.  the ramp does have a slight lift where the 2 ramps were put together wo we had to cut them at a slight angle to compensate. i would weld them up later.

i know i said no one rides till she's done, but the boys worked hard so i snapped a few pre-mase pics. feeble fakie, 5-0 fakie.

time for mase!!!

fast forward 2 weeks later.  ramp is finished!!  thursday i put the last piece in and i had an inaugural session with everyone who helped out.  the coping got painted up with a 1 part epoxy paint.  filled the steel coping with foam.  took down the garage door parts.  i found a spot for the mini fridge.  i had a couple buddys come by and graffiti up the wall.  that turned out fucking sick.  anyways, everyone likes pictures so here we go.

bondo.

foam.

mini fridge.

so stoked on the artwork.  these guys fucking killed it.

we gave the ramp a coke bath too.

then some friends showed up and killed the place.

huge thanks to my buddy Rob.  him and i were down from day one and had and idea that we saw through.  huge props to everyone else who helped out, especially Lyndon and DeVries.  everyone who donated time and money, you guys rock.   thanks for reading.  and if you want to read more, there some here.

http://calgaryskateboarding.com/?p=4692  one of the guys came by to ask a few questions about the ramp.

i guess that's it!  now go out and make something to skate!

the noping is actually great.  grinds are fast and it's holding up pretty good considering it's just bondo and paint over the cement.  and i don't care about the distance, i'm coming to salamander ranch lol!

sorry chuck.  i had already left for work, otherwise i would have let you in.

and FYI, chuck and susej are killing it. in case you couldn't figure that out.
