so sick guys.  very inspirational.  my wife asked if you guys needed to get a permit and i said you guys were in the US.  i'm going to build next spring and was going to inquire up here.  and since the city probably wont allow a skatepark, i was going to have the permit be for a "decorative poured patio".  then it's city approved  Wink

I got shut down for not having a permit. The city wanted me to get a permit for a swimming pool. They did not care what I called it. Very intelligent city employee younger than me says: "Boy, you dug a hole in the ground and now your dumpin concrete in it. That's a damn swimmin pool." Set us back 4 very hot months (which was great) and cost $50. $20 of it was processing fees. I wrote skate ramp on everything so it's not a swimming pool, and I won't pay taxes on increased property values for having a swimming pool.

Having that permit has actually saved my bowl from a nosey bitch ass neighbor. She kept calling the city to come tear out my illegal skatepark. The city denied her request saying they approved the project and it's a legal skate ramp.

That's awesome the city approved and the neighbor can't do shit. One of the main reason's this build has been all above ground.

And deck was poured.

Got the coping mounted on the new small quarter and flat bottom poured last week. Was dry enough to have a session and test out Sunday. Definately worth the time spent jackhammering and tearing out the old quarter to make much nicer.

Also got another form put up this last weekend, ready to pour next Saturday. Moving along!
