southern california is kind of a bag. when i lived there, i spent almost a third of my waking life in my fucking car. there's lots of good skating, but everything is seriously spread out, and most spots are a total bust during the week, and a 99.9% bust on the weekends. and you need to make pretty good money to live decently there. i was making more money than i ever had before, but living more hand-to-mouth than ever, too.

i moved from florida to nyc to go to nyu. needless to say, i went from an amazing gpa to a not so great one when i graduated upon coming here and discovering the spots near the school. but it was worth it!

If you must know, I do have a job.  It is, without a doubt, the best job on the planet.  I travel around the country, tell people what's on my mind, make time with hot chicks, sleep in, and do drugs with celebrities.  That might not sound fun to you but you also seem very boring.

You're 18.  I imagine you think yourself to be quite wise.  I'll tell you this:  Of all my friends who finished college and plugged themselves into jobs, only one of them is happy.

I fucked up my grades in school because I'm lazy and didn't want to do homework or anything. I do fine learning stuff but my homework zeros and me not keeping up with when projects were do and stuff dropped my GPA and so I got stuck in classes that aren't worth shit even if I pass them. I really regret it. The only way I could have gone to college is if I got a scholarship...not happening. It would have been easy if I hadn't decided to be a bum skateboarder. It sucks. I got my friends and shit though.

It's cool if you're super poor because the government helps out a lot with Pell Grants and a lot of scholarships are inclusive of the GED as long as your scores are high enough.
