Does VSW still exist in N America? They have them here, and a couple guys I know ride for them. Look the same as they did 20+ years ago.

Vans have been hurting my feet lately. I need to try out a few brands. I want to try some Axion's (even though KC has nothing to do with the reincarnation) or maybe some HUF's.

For skating, I think overall my preference is vans old schools. I'm sure price factors in, since they're relatively cheap, but they seem to last as long or longer than most of the other shoes I skate, and they strike a good balance of letting me feel the board while not feeling like I'm barefoot.

For looking sweet, I've been feeling adidas for the past couple of years. Campus vulcs and adi ease. Haven't skated in them though.

I've been skating some cheap Tony Hawk shoes. They're basically vans era rip-offs but they only cost $20. I actually really like them, considering I love skating thin canvas shoes, but hat spending $40-$50 bucks on shoes that are only gonna last 2 weeks tops.

Vans rule of course but I'm seriously digging my Emerica Hsus - they have some STI foam inside that make a huge difference in my old fat feet hurting after some hard slappies.  I think they are about to launch a new version because I'm seeing them on discount sites.

im in love with vox slackers. i ordered from the site cause they didnt have any vox at my local shop. they sent my a shit ton of extras, and an extra signed shoe by some members of the team. the shoes have lasted me for a very long time, about 3 months now. i also really like habitat quests, if they still make those. i dont really like lakais. also, getting the hemp vans is a retarded idea. they lasted me less than a month. haha.

i loved my es excel, muska, koston 1 , sal 23, airwalk tony hawk mids, dc flawless maybe and there was a mid top version spartian maybe??  i hated my emerica senn, dc apex , lynx.   Mid-Late 90's to eary 2000s was the best time in skateboarding footware.  now it seems everything is either super basic looking like 70's slip ons with shitty vulcianized soles or they are white, florescent green and hot pink

I hate DC footwear. No one but kooks, and jocks wear them.
The shoes I was skating before breaking my ankle were the Nike Janoski's. To me, they're one of the best shoes out there. I also loved my first pair of Adidas Busenitz.

Can't go wrong with Vans TNT 5 or the Rowley SPVs.

+1 for the TNT five. The era pro has a ridiculous amount of boardfeel but kneesliding on vert destroys shoes. The emerica Reynolds is one im surprised i havent heard on here. easily one of emericas best shoes. Recently been sporting some Nike SB dunk mid pro's. ill say they are the most comfortable skate shoe ive skated but they suck for skating the bowls with.
