Fuck Nike.  I'm down with a lot of their team, hope they are getting paid, and might buy a video or two, but you'll never see swooshes on my feet.  This shit is just another step towards mainstream's society's goal of turning skateboarding into gymnastics.   If they have their way it, in 20 years it will be all training facilities and 12 year olds trying to win gold at the Olympics before they turn 18 and get disposed of like so much garbage.  Another depressing example of how American capitalism destroys so much of what it touches for the sake of a quick buck.  We are so fucked.

interesting article, and comment.  but it comes down to one question. do you want to go skateboarding?  the answer is always yes and aside from the added benefit of not slaughtering my feet, i'll put whatever on to go ride. even those fucked up toe thingy things if that's all that is available.

Im trying to figure out how to buy stock.
If I can't skate for a company might as well own it.
Any tips?

Apply for an online investing account through your bank, register for online banking. I'm just getting started at it.  I've been told that when you're starting out, and don't have that much money to lose, you should start with low-medium risk mutual funds, and once you've got some money to play with, take a few risks, but make sure you spread it around a bit, so your profits will lessen your potential losses.

A company can say all they want about projected sales and and markets.   Nike won't ever go away but they won't be on top forever.....capitalism and ever evolving "tastes" in skateboarding can crumble any empire.

There's always gonna be jerkoffs trying to capitalize their interests over things you consider your own. I guess the deal is to keep things honest to yourself... it's not like you want everybody following a trend but their own way, right?

As long as you don't let The man (??) fuck you over, you should be all good. Now go buy that stock/Burn their corporate hq down.....wichever works better for you  Lips Sealed
