yeah we know mj is original and tech but honestly calling fully flared the best video off all time and asking questions like will it be topped? is ridiculous. it was topped the next day by krooked naughty. i felt mj sacrificed quality for quantity. besides i already saw that part before in a video called yeah right  :Smiley

your seriously the dumbest motherfucker. naughty is retarded compared to fully flared. it took 4 years for mj to finish his part, how can you say he sacrificed quality for quanity. the final trick in fully flared is better than the whole krooked video.

I disagree,
I thought his part was over thought and the creativity from the other side of the lakai team(just ledges and manuals) was lacking.
I believe if your trying to be different(which marc has stated that he is an individual and what not) then you shouldn't do the same tricks and obstacles as most in that video.
I mean anthony pappalardo did a switch ollie that had more style and difference than anyone.
I just thought that marc didn't stand out and soty and last part was a choice based on certain opinions, but not necessarily the most rare or unseen skating.
In my eyes his part was flawed and I would much rather gnaughty or static III to go skate.
the spots he skated weren't exciting or tough to skate.
the 3 songs was to elaborate for me.
lucas puig topped him on the ledge game from my standpoint.

well sure i agree that most of the spots in his part arent that difficult to skate, but every trick he did was so tech, and so beautiful. in my oppinion, i dont think anyone deserved SOTY more than marc. and obviously must have had a fuckin outstanding part if he got SOTY. so it doesnt really matter what any of you think about him, the fact is that he's thee best skateboarder of 2007 solely because of his part.

His part was full of creative, stylish and incredibly difficult tricks. I dont see how you can dissagree. front blunt big flip, lipslide up to noseblunt down in the rain, nollie 540, front board to back tail, front board to front noseblunt on the same ledge. theres just so many. hes always done amazing shit, and looks good doing it. i guess my point is that his part is full of bangers. nollie back heel that long gap thingy was epic. flavor country. and goodbye horses was sick perfect song for a marc johnson part.

In the eyes of stewpidphuck and I parts full of bangers are dull.
We'd rather watch something more attainable by the average skater.
I'd much rather go watch ricky oyola skating the streets that aren't the most technical, but more rough and raw. Because it's more accessible to young and old alike.
My theory is parts like these are the reason kids have such high standards and jock like features.
They look past "real" natural style and instead focus on how crowd pleasing the trick is, like someone in the circus or something.
I agree this part is amazing, but our views on how inspiring it is for a skater that has no intentions to go please someone or show off are different.
I'm searching for a video that makes me want to enjoy skating and not make me be full of sorrow cause I will never accomplish anything in it.

it made me want to skate. i think although the tricks were very difficult there was still a good feeling through the video,  that these guys love skateboarding and why skateboarding is so great. i just love videos. i dont even skate anymore. i used to do front blunts up slanted benches, but now i lift weights and want to be a personal trainer
