i wouldnt vote for obama... but i'm kind of interested to see what's gonna go down.

it's not secret that mccain would just be another term of bush... so it'll be neat to see such totally different leadership in the white house...

I must say, I was quite impressed with Obama's Grant Park speech.  Even I became convinced that a member of the big two could be a decent leader.

yeah, it was good. I thought he would have showed his excitement a bit more but, as the newscasters said: "this is serious business".

what I found amusing was the difference between the mccain and obama rallies. and not just the mood. all the people at mccain's in arizona were mainly white, upper-class; men with suits/broomsticks-up-asses and women with tacky blouses/expensive earrings. obama's rally in chicago looked like...well...a good representation of america itself - people of all ages (lots of young people) and backgrounds. its nice to see the will of average people overcoming the will of the old, rich, and rigid.


and...that remark from that dude's econ teacher in this thread? what the fuck is that? seriously fucked up.

It was a great speech.  Myself, I was a bit worried during it though.  I've been watching lots of 24 lately, and that show just has too many parallels to real life politics.
