I skate better with music, but my sansa got stolen so I skate without music. What music does is that it helps me wanna keep skating, therefore my sessions are longer.

There's nothing better than good music playing while you are sessioning a ramp or park. I don't like to listen to music while street skating though.

Well, I actually didn't vote. I've been skating with my iPod for about a year now, and I don't actually see the big change.

I tend to chill more when I'm listening to music. Like, I'm completly isolated from the rest of the world and I can just chill wherever the fuck I want.
But meh. I don't think it changes the actual "skills".

I like listening to my pod, but I'm often caught listening to fast paced louder music, which isn't good cause then I tend to carcass.
I skate the way the music sounds and sometimes that makes me cruise or die.
Focusing is a lot easier without music.
So basically better skating is accomplished with the screams of kids and the birds chirping rather than ipoding.

It depends on the situation.  Normally I skate by myself so I enjoy music unless I really need to focus on a trick, then it's just distracting, but whenever I skate with friends or just random people at the park I turn off the jams.

Always skate better with music. I love being isolated in my own little world.
Usually I'll warm up with some chill hip hop (paradox?)... then onto electronic dance music.. metal when I start trying big shit outside of my skill level. More chill hip hop as I'm recovering. Then it's kind of a toss up after that

pop those caps off and then throw your bearings in sock and then in the dryer for around 30 minutes.
You get the card in the bike spokes effect, I love it.
