I don't like skating with people I don't know. Crailtaps are okay, Deluxe's are perfect and DNA's are great but the graphics have been Element-worthy lately. Mike Mo kids are fucking annoying "yo did you see Mike Mo's buttery ass tre flip down san clemente high? That was butter and steeezzzyyy, proper!" I buy Crailtaps for Gino, Guy, Carroll, Pops, Koston, Olson, Kenny, MJ, BA and such. Mike Mo looks good on a skateboard and does some fucked up shit, he's just never been interesting to me, I can't relate to it.

Keep in mind we're message board nerds and most skaters have no problems with shit we apparently have problems with (Element, lame shoe companies, etc.).

So yeah, they're pretty obscure still.  I'd love to try 5Boro or City, but my shop doesn't even carry those...

In my opinion, if a company doesn't have SOME sort of image then it's a pretty boring one that I wouldn't want to support, even Traffic and Five and such have gimmicks. Skateboarding isn't all about gimmicks but a company should have an image or gimmick. I like the artsy-ness of Alien/Habitat and the east coast vibe of older Habitat/AWS videos. If I'm not mistaken, Stefan and Garcia were the only people who weren't from the east coast or mid west that were in Mosaic (minus the Alien parts). Some images, if they're good and don't seem forced get me stoked on the company. Images kind of sort out which company you want to support rather than have a team full of all types of bros, hessians, G's and such who most likely don't even skate together, with images you just get the vibe that these people actually skate together rather than a bunch of random people grouped together to sell boards.
