here are some i took of my friend dave (bilk) back in tallahassee, fl.

shadow ghost nose manny in front of an FSU frat house.

nose manny inside the radio station we used to dj at.

frontnose on the roof of the radio station, capital building in the back.

kickflip on the same roof.

ollie up to wallride on the tile on the same roof. straight drop on the other side.

ollie north off the bump on the same roof. note how the capital building looks like a cock and balls.

shifty ollie off a sidewalk bump in staten island, ny.

nose pivot on makeshift quarter in brooklyn, ny.

back 5050 in long island city, queens, ny.

back 5-0 at same spot.

one of the bails.

the scans are pretty bad, but a couple of them look pretty sick printed. i took them with my 35mm. i will post more of other people later.

thanks guys.

here are a couple old self-portraits:

i set this up on a timer and it took forever to get because i had to hit the shutter, run up the stairs throw my board down and pop into the manny. flushing, queens, ny.

i set this up on a tripod and had my friend, sho,  hit the shutter. smith grind in williamsburg, brooklyn, ny. this actually made it on the crailtap front page pack then when they were doing a tapper's guest front page posting photos submitted by readers.

these are of my late friend, sho ma. RIP.

frontside noseslide on a bathtub in williamsburg, brooklyn, ny.

nollie bs flip at the brooklyn banks, manhattan. he messed with the color on this and i can't find the original, hence the green.

nollie back tail, manhattan.

kickflip, greenpoint, brooklyn.

backside flip.

switch flip, manhattan.

nollie 180 switch crooks.

dude that second one was way sick... if i may add a small critique? for the first one, i always try and get "where they were, where they are, and where they are going." i kinda came up with that, seems to work well enough. more qp would be better... but thats if i had to nit pick...peace

thanks.

yeah I know what you mean about the first one. just out of the frame to the bottom is the bowl's corner, so it was a squeeze getting that much of the quarter in. wider lens would have helped - that was 50mm. but I agree with that rule, that's how you know when a non-skater took a skate photo - when its just a dude in the air, with absolutely no point of reference, haha.

I like the NY shots. I've been dying to get down there and get nerdy with my camera.

thanks. since i film more than shoot photos, i have hardly even take advantage of the ny aesthetic and i feel like few photogs actually do. ying is pretty good about it. my problem is this. i have these ideas and visions, but i am not able to implement them due to a lack of knowhow. i am so not a photo nerd and i have only taken a couple classes back in nyu, but i know nothing about flashes and whatnot (hence liking tps steve's exposures...they are lit super nice).

cool, man. NY is one of the cities I want to visit most out of anywhere. skating those streets is high on my list. now that I'm on the east coast I should make it happen. I'm only a 2 and a half hour flight away.

just don't fly into one of our plane's engine during that flight, goose.

what city are you in? i will likely be out of here by the end of march, so if you come after that i will just have to tell you spots, maybe link you up with people.

haha, yeah they think it was canadian geese that fucked up that plane. I'm in halifax. so its really not that far. I doubt I'll get there by march though - it would probably be summer or fall if it happens this year. I'll let you know either way though.

you get really nice colour. I'm assuming you rock the full SLR set up?
