looks really good. i still say you should tighten it up, but at least you're building it proper.

Thanks, if you could see the angle that flows into this corner off the other ramp & the space after the corner to hit the third ramp, it should flow  pretty well as long as I make the tranny steep enough on the corner... I'll try to get a pic from the roof and post it up.

east coast crust, do you have any tips for pouring the tranny? what type trowel works best? mix thick I assume.... I'm using 5000 psi

that quarter looks like a perfect surface, I poured a small triangle yesterday and still have to figure out how long to let it set before troweling....

a lot of getting the surface nice is in "floating" the rock down and bringing up the "cream". we have floats that we specially made out of fiberglass. it basiclly is the shape of what ever tranny you are using is. you can get a magnesium float at home depot that works really well but i suggest trying to make your own custom float. check out www.skatepark.org and go to there d.i.y. section there is tons of info on how to make them. hope that helps.

also get a bag of portland cement and add a shovel full to each bag that you mix, it will help with getting the cream that you are after. we used just regular bags of crete,5000 psi is fine but it cost more and i dont think it is needed for the size you are pouring...

definitely get a magnesium float. it reacts with the concrete and brings up more cream. the more you work it with the mag, the more the aggregate will settle down and cream will rise.

looks rad. you dont want to have those 2x4s in there over time the will rot and cause a void. you can stake your forms in from the side.

I tried that this morning but the ground is sand here in FL,  I was having the hardest time getting the forms lined up and level so finally just said fuck it and drilled in the 2x4's 2 inches below the edge. Now I am thanking the winged buffalo & the striped reds.

That looks so good. Do you have a picture of a fiberglass float, I'd like to make one?

Rebar? It's not free though, I'm lucky enough to come across it a lot, long pieces of all thread too
