Me & my buddy are troweling, My son is in the red shirt. He & his buddies rotated mixing. They all helped for a couple hours, then I troweled for 4 more hours, then it rained.

The man showed his face the other day, told me to take it down...  I went downtown the next day and found out if it's being used for skateboards, then it's considered "playground equipment" no permits necessary.

Sadly, that they would try to shut you down is all too believable.  What was their angle?  That you needed a building permit to 'landscape' your property?  I hope you told them it was private and that they needed to leave.  BTW, your project looks super fun and I've been enjoying seeing the progress.  Good luck with the rest of your pours.

Thanks. They're saying I'm over in the setback lines which is within 8 feet or so from my neighbors prop line.  I tried to find out who complained & they said it was an anonymous complaint. Worst case I may have to move the piece we've been working on but I work from home and have all the time in the world to piss off whoever as soon as I get a clear answer from the man as to where I can build on my own fucking property. woooooo hoooooooo let freedom ring.......only where they tell you it can. fucking $laves we are.

Ahh yes, a traditional go-to resource for the disgruntled neighbor trying to alter a project they don't like.  Setback lines should only apply to structures and not landscape or driveway features, but it sounds like the city told you as much already.  Bolts!
