We started with this a couple weeks ago.

This was at a fundraiser pig cookin to raise money to build out some crete goodnes.

We built this for an art festival called figment that happens here and a few other cities.

It's April 28-29 if anyone wants to come check it out.

After a bit of searching found a potential spot. Spent a couple of hours sweeping up the other night. Gonna stick a quick quarter up one night next week to see how it does. Definitely has potential.

Psyched doesn't cut it.

^ I'm going to guess that you live in western Canada?

Great job on Wheelson St. Frank. I blogged a picture and I'm going to blog the time lapse soon.

It's been awhile since I've posted here

Does this count?

I fixed the box at my local skate shop. It's outside 24/7 so it was in need of some repair. I tried to convince them on doing something with concrete... maybe later.

^Being from southern California I would say "close enough." HAHA

My friend Jason was telling me about the kids in his neighborhood coming to his shop and telling him they had no place to skate. He would tell them to make the spots themselves like he use to do when he was growing up. They would tell him that they didn't know how too and that it couldn't be done.

I told him that I wanted to film a How To on the easiest way I know how to build a good ledge. He found the spot, we got the stuff nearly for free, and we built this...

FUCK YOU NEW PIECE OF SHIT GENERATION! YOUR FUCKING WHINNY ASSES CAN EAT A DICK!!!

No shit! I'm glad it's just not around here.

Kids complaining about not having shit to skate all the time.

Ok come help us build a spot.

Hell no that's too much work!

Apparently skateboarding owes these kids something. Like a back truck to the face.

Maybe there is hope for the next generation. These kids are old enough to drive but not to vote and they are killing it with this spot.

Even though they have a wealth of building knowledge around them they ask for no help and just want to get the spot done by their hands. These kids are not lazy, they are learning by trial and error and they are definitely going to get better.

I didn't help them build the spot I'm just documenting their build for a web article.

Nice! It's good to see.

http://durtbowl.wordpress.com/

Here's a recap of how figment went. It was an awesome weekend. The local business are now trying to get that street shut down so we can have it.

The best part did happen to be all the kids that came out. Most had never skated before. By the end of the weekend they were tearing through the sculpture!

We've been working on this for last few weeks, theres a quarter the same group of people made about a year ago.  I don't recall honestly if i took part in that or not.  Either way building this for my homies fundraiser.  All works been done at night haven't gotten any day shots yet but it's coming along.  After looking through the older posts was inspired to post here.  note none of said pictures were taken by me.
