I started like ~ 20 years ago.  I was in the car with my dad and I saw a dude pushing down the street and I was in shock, it just looked like the funnest thing ever.  I was in first or second grade... cant really remember.  Although I do remember bombing down a hill on my knees, hit a rock and fell right on my face, scrapped the hell out of my chin.  First slam of many.

haha people should skate on their knees and asses and whatever else they feel like more often.  Just a good reminder that a skateboard is just a fun toy to play on.

1966 on a very steep neighborhood sidewalk in the south area of Lincoln, Nebraska. My skateboard was a "Sokal" that had standard steel rollerskate wheels and mechanism. Very primitive, but it was retail.

I don't skateboard anymore due to my age, but I appreciate the advances in technology and presentation skateboarders are capable of these days.

Someone left a skateboard in the front yard of my home before I was born, it was then stored somewhere in my home, as I grew up I messed around with it.

My first ever board,I remember I tied my dog to the trucks and had him pull me and laying on top of the board and bombing hills that way

I remember seeing Tony Hawk do the 900 on the Xgames and I realized there's a lot of possibilities for a skateboard, not just to ride it.

I started pushing wood when I was 8 years old. On my 8th B-Day to be exact. I'm 15 now. Shredding for 7 years. Alot more to come.

I used to cave man on a piece of wood. got my first board when my mom picked me up from grandparents one night and had a pokemon board. when i was eight i got a complete blind that came in a big box with stickers and a free beanie i was the happiest kid ever. those were the times but now theirs fuckin school awww .
