I'll agree on everything there, except rage. hwo could you hate on them? basically they got everything covered, their like a rap metal funk band. AND their stickin it to the man. Ill back them.

I hate The Beatles. They are the most over-rated band of all time. You want some good UK music from the same time, listen to The Kinks. Not a fan of Metallica, first album gets it done for me though. Led Zepplin is good but overplayed. Disco, rap, country, and techno/electronica/whatever can die for all I care.
