The guitar wanking was at least tasteful on those recordings. And I can't stand "real" guitar players, you know the MI / Berklee wankers, all show no style.

I got it a while ago...if your music's intentionally lo-fi, it better be damn good/interesting...I didn't find this was the case.

I got another one, reminded because I'm listening to them right now...Joy Division!  I don't get it!  The Akira Kurosawa of the musical world!  Broke new ground?  Yes!  Developed genres?  Yes!  Withstood the test of time?  For the most part, NO!  Maybe some day I'll get it, but for now, I find most of the bands credited as "ripping them off" (Interpol, etc.) to be substantially better.
